Shaker Hood Opinions Wanted!

I am working on a Shaker Style functional ram air hood for the 08 Challenger and I would like your opinion. Attached are photos of the prototype. We are currently preparing production molds so this is our last chance for tweaks.

Please let me know what you like or dislike about this hood. It is made of fiberglass with internal metal components at all attachment points so that it is a true bolt on replacement like all our hoods.

Thanks,

SuncoastPrez

Believe it or not i think it needs to be wider.

And a little less bulged at the top!

Are you using clues from the origonal?

The new challenger is bigger, so it should look "to scale" not like it's added!

I voted "Nice"....think the only thing it needs is 6.1 on the side. Nice job.

Got to look like it belongs on the car not put on from another car!

I vote so-so only because it looks like it needs to be bigger. The height looks great but it looks lonely in the middle of that huge hood. It may just be the pictures too though, but in comparison the 70's ones were huge and took up a larger surface area of the hood. On the other hand though, I'm exstatic to see someone actually building a quality one at all and in such a short time period, keep up the good work.

I'm going to have to agree with a few of the previous posts. It needs to be larger and a little less vertical. Do you have any underhood shots to share?

I voted so-so because of the size also. When will someone make the concept hood with the scoops that function? I liked the look of the opening flaps with throttle increase. Or how about making the stock scoops push air to a pro-charger or CAI instead ? Just a few thoughts.
