The "brain" in my 300C always shifted way too early on the upshift for my liking, and no-where near red line. The gain is the faster acceleration in the lower gear at higher rpm. I havn't had my Chally long enough too check it out,(I went offshore to work, one day after I got it) and see if it needs to be done, nor am I suggesting that it be done. I am merely pointing out that it can be done.
