I agree, but I read where if this was your daily driver...its a bit over-the-top. I'm on the fence about doing that big of a mod, for a daily driver.

I have a procharger and it is my daily driver. It just makes it that much more justified for me because I am actually using everyday instead of once a month at the track or something.

My daily driver, especially in poor weather, is a 3/4 ton pickup, 2005 Ram 2500 with a Cummins diesel in it. I average maybe 19-21 MPG on that. If it was a gasser like my old 99 Ram 1500, it would be 15-17 MPG. If I wanted great MPGs, I would've bought a 03 Jetta diesel.

I care. In a way, I did what you did: I didn't buy an SRT for my daily driver because of the gas mileage. I purposely bought an R/T instead. It's worked out brilliantly, too (I'm getting 22 city/27 hwy). I do agree with you partially, though: I couldn't care less how much gas my car uses when my foot's on the floor. The other 99.999% of the time, it matters a great deal. I would only consider a FI setup if I could be convinced that the engineers (with degrees, thank you) responsible for re-mapping the fuel/ignition/camshaft-index curves had done due diligence to all possible throttle openings at all possible temperatures and all possible loads, with emissions and fuel economy as goals equal in importance to power production. Of course, you'll only get this from a factory setup, so I'm pretty much resigned to what I've got now (a stock 5.7)...

Now I get it! All makes perfect sense........
. Some of us would be happy with a General Morons Camaro Killer. MORE POWER FOR THE R/T! LETS BLOW THE GAS PINCHERS OFF THE ROAD!
