If I am not mistaking the two on the hoods of the new challengers are a carbon fiber look.

yeah, I know, but the R/T ordered by our local dealer has the hood to fender stripes, not the hood decal/stripes.......they said it is too late to change their order - I would prefer the hood stripes and I don't know whether to wait for it to come in and see how it looks or just check out another dealer - they said they are selling the '09s at MSRP.......even though they have an '08 with a huge mark-up!

Ahhh. My local shop got the SRT8 in only to have the owner to buy it and take straight home. I got the salesman to get it back in so I could see up close. I ordered my 09' shortly there after. That was the only 08' so I didnt see the mark-up.

There is Carbon Fiber material available, but it is not the same as the printed carbon pattern on the 2008 Hood Stripes. It is very expensive, but if you are interested, we can get it.

Ooooo...I like the "C" option Yea, the dealer offers the hood to fender stripes for an extra $200, and yep, when I went to look at them, they had a carbonfiber look to them...pretty nice, but didn't think that fit the whole "American Muscle" theme...CF is more of an import thing.
