Thank you. I have sooo many questions.
Where to begin and in what Forum?
I saw a DeepWaterBlue R/T at the dealership.
Whats up with the plastic fuel filler with
the word F U E L spelled out on it? I remember
the Challenger we had when I was a kid had
a fuel fill cap right on the rear fender and was
kid proof as we played with it all the time.
Pushing the release button and watching it
pop up with enough force to sling Army Men
halfway across the garage floor into targets.
Nice cast metal with a heavy chrome plating
and a nice solid feel. The one I touched on
the R/T yesterday was this flimsy piece of
easily breakable plastic with some MickeyMouse
hinge just waiting to be broken by one refueling
mishap. I see a stiff need for a retro aftermarket
part here. And are they painting DeepWaterBlue
V6SEs yet? Are they actually assembled in Canada
as the Price Sticker would lead you to believe?
Thanks for listening to the rant...

I don't think they are plastic, I believe Aluminum. The old ones were pot-metal that were chromed. with a stainless bezel against the body.
