New here..

Hey.. I'm new here...

I'm a Industrial Sciences student at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green KY. I plan to Graduate in May, and hopefully one of my first purchases will be a new Challenger. I've already got big plans in mind..

The reason I want a challenger first of all, is because I grew up around one. My mother bought this 72' Rallye brand new in 71'. It's all original other than exterior paint which was F'd up in the 80's. It's a 340 / 4 speed car. I plan to do a nice restoration on this car when I'm financially able.

The other reason I want a Challenger, is because basically I want to have a new project. The car I spend most my time with now is an 03 Mustang GT.
It's an all stock engine car, with a procharger P1SC @ 10psi. It recently put down 420rwhp and right at 435 rwtq.. tq numbers seem wierd I know..
It goes a 12.4 @ 114 on some crappy tires with a 2.2 60' . Hopefully with slicks it will go 11's with a 1.8ish 60'.

I've done all the work myself on this car, except the base tune and the paint.

Here are some pictures:

I would love to have an SRT8, but I'll probably end up with a non auto R/T. My plans would be to pull the engine, and bulid a lower compression bottom end with forged rods / pistons. I'd like to then either do a Procharger or a Turbo setup. The new Saleen SMS 296 blower is looking pretty good though! I'd like to have a black car, with some staggered 20 inch wheels. Not sure how wide you can go on these things, but I'm thinking a 300mm + tire on the back would look sick.

Anyways.. I hope to learn a little about tuning mopars on here.. Thanks for having me .

Neil
