My computer has been down and still is and I actually havent been online for a month. First I will be back in 1 to 2 weeks as I am on a borrowed computer. I got to ride in a new challenger and it was awesome, but since I feel like Im in my magnum srt8 , I believe I can wait the 1 or 2 years for prices to fall. Hi guys....I was frustrated with the bull the Chrysler Customer Service line was giving me (3 answers from 3 diff. CSRs ranging from "your car will be in assembly in 2 days / 2 weeks / lucky to get it in 2-3 months")...so I made several phone calls and called in a favor...got to a gentleman who works in the Brampton Assy. Plant. Here's the schedule:

First production run (current): V-6 (SE) Challengers. That run is almost finished. SEs should be arriving at dealerships now.

08/17: Plan to start production on 5.7 L R/Ts with Automatic Trans.

08/25: Plan to start production on 5.7 L R/Ts with 6 spd. Tremec Trans.

By Mid-September: Plan to start production on '09 SRT8s.

All dates subject to change based on any manufacturing problems they run into with the start of a new model. But, this gentleman stated that they have run a few test vehicles of all types through the line and have had no problems with those vehicles...so he believes they will be able to maintain this planned schedule.

Glad to be back, still want the car but unlesss one falls in my lap, I will actually be waiting 1 or 2 more years.
