Highest performance mods?

Hey everybody, I bought my challenger last week and am looking to add an exhaust, CAI, tuner, and just about anything else that is a bolt-on to give my new 6-spd a bit more horses. I want to hear your opinions about what are the best brands and parts to make my new chally wicked! thanks for the help

BYU - You can probably check out some of the previous threads and get a good idea of what you are looking for - From what I read here's the quick version:

K & N cai system is reliable and often mentioned.

Magnaflow, SLP, Corsa, MBRP & Zoomers cat back systems are all mentioned - Their web sites often have videos with sound so you can actually hear the exhaust systems perform and help make your decision.

Diablosport is usually the tuner of choice.

Over the next year I will also be installing all the bolt ons you are considering - Other upgrades will follow as funds permit ie. wheels, suspension, brakes & other engine improvements - Have fun with your new Chally!

Thanks, that sounds like a good plan. My chally looks exactly like yours does (for the moment) and I love it! the red is by far the best color and the tribal stripes are SICK!!!

The car is a show stopper for sure! I have been waiting for something like this for a long time and it hasn't disappointed - Can't believe how many people check out and take cell pics of the Chally - It's a special car for sure and I will have loads of fun working with it!

Hi BYU... Congratulations! I've got a Black Perl, R/T track pack, and have the Corsa Pro exhaust on it. I'm sure anything mentioned below would be good, but I've had good luck with Corsa previously, and stuck with them. I'm glad I did. Besides the typical hp gains, I absolutely love the way they sound on the Chally. I've had a surprising number of comments on it and yet it's still very livable inside when our not getting on it....

Long tube headers will open it up a lot. Even shortie headers are much better than stock. The stock cats are a bit restrictive, so I recommend the Mopar headers / cats. It opens up the most restrictive part.

The DiabloSport tuner is a very good choice to. You will see a decrease in milage as it removes the fuel lag and when you use the new found power it will drink more fuel. Both are great. To finnish out the package add cat back exhaust for some more power and the lowest improvement will be a CAI.

A 180 degree thermistat with the fan settings set lower will help keep it cooler, to reduce the chance of spark knock, etc.

Headers, and tuner give the biggest gain, then exhaust followed by CAI.

Not sure if a camshaft is available yet for the vvt engines, but the previous 5.7 it gained about 40 hp which is greater than headers or tuner.

The v8 tuner will work on v8 charger and challenger, with the latest tunes, the v6 tuner will work with the v6 challenger and v6 charger (3.5L)

Track pack or not, doesnt matter.

What are you asking for?

Predator has automatic transmission options and on diablosport website they do not have an option to get a predator for a manual trans it says "SRT8 Automatic only" i was wondering if the rt wasnt included in the options bcz of the vvt and i was wondering if it didnt include the manual bcz it wasnt compatible with it

Update it to the latest patch, and go for it. 15-20 hp. The V8 tuner works with the v8 cars, and the 3.5L tuner works with the 3.5L cars.
