I don't believe the engineers at dodge would design less than optimal breathing system for the cars, but....
I would suggest others take my plan of action, which is to just let people wreck their guts with all the experimenting and money spending. Then when there is something with solid numbers to prove a worthy set of mods... that doesn't destroy the car, we can jump on that. All I know is my stock car has plenty of pep to keep me entertained til guys like neidan give us something more than rumors. Keep it up man!
I don't think there silly clams MC. I think it's good when people post what they here so there is a change to examine it. Also you are on the money, we don't know what the magic combination for this engine is yet. I only point out what I thought to add information I'm aware of to the debate so there is more for someone to digest prior to pulling the $$$$ trigger...

You also on spot with how these cars run. We've got a 4000+ lb car hitting low 13's out of the box. And feeling like there is more in there to boot...
Once the ECU gets figured out and the breathing gets dialed in.....

Dodge has done a great job with these, there is a lot more car here than a 1/4 runner...

I'll tell you what got me excited recently in the way of induction mods. Have you guys seen the XV (Xtreme Velocity) Motor Sports induction system for the LX's? Here's a link to a video that's pretty righteous. I've got a question into them about whether they've got plans for the LC's...

Good stuff HemiSam,

I'm a huge XV fan. I've seen this, but at about 6K for the 430 hp kit the price point is still a bit high IMO. It will come down though for sure. At the current pice point there is quite a bit of competition from the SC crowd....

Still, wouldn't you love 2 have that setup under the hood!!!!!

Crazy good, neidan! I dig the set-up for throttle body through to the manifold, and fuel rails. Doubt I'd need all that w/o going forced induction or serious cam upgrade, but then I'd only be into it for $1300 or so plus install...just a thought. Money and time...that's all it takes.

Did you check out their old MOPAR muscle for sale? Unbelievable stuff. They've got to be going for a mint...

I have the magnaflow too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty(salt in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here. magnaflow 16962, or you can try one of the vendors.

Probably a little late on the conversation, but I have the MOPAR CAI, Predator 93 Octane tune and MBRP catbacks. MBRP has a nice deep throaty muscle car sound. Also have the Hurst short throw comp shifter with the old school pistol grip. If you have a 6 speed the Hurst shifter is sweet. Got pics if you waqnt them.
