Smile Last question Manual or Automatic

Before I pickup my 2010 Challenger RT Classic. I need to know.
Manual or Automatic. In the past I have walked around a beautiful car that was done right. Then I look in the window and it has an auto. I shake my head and walk away wondering why. Well I know why, there are pros and cons. I am leaning toward the maunal. I want to control the car and the engine. But the wife knows when I am ready to drop the hammer when I downshift. lol

You all have them..let me know your thoughts.
Thanks Bob

I say go manual also, as the fun factor increases greatly.

No question about it....get the stick. I've had mine just over a year and it is an awesome car to drive.

If all I did was drag race, then I'd get the slush box. But since that's all I don't do, I had to have the stick. They're not only more fun to drive, the increased involvement required on your part makes it more difficult for you to "veg-out" behind the wheel...making you a safer driver. I've loved all LXs for years...yet I never considered owning one because 1) I like two doors better than four, and 2) there was no manual transmission available. When the '09 Challenger came out, that just sealed the deal for me.

Guys...thanks. On the automatic side I find myself doing stuff while driving that I should not be doing. With the manual, it will force me to pull over and stop, that is really a plus. In addition, this is the last hemi I am going to build. Since this is my third 5.7, planned anyway. I am going to do it right.
Thanks Bob

How much stop and go city driving do you do?

I drove my daughters civic the other day and could not fully enjoy my coffie!

Does no mds in the stick bother you mpg wise?

I know you don't buy a challenger for mpg but over the life of the car....

Just a note on this one point: I see the MPG thing bantered about here and there but I'm not personally finding that argument to be true.

I think with the 6 speed a LOT of that will be a matter of driving style. For example until I put her up for the winter I was regularly getting 26 -27 mpg combined with either the DS tune or the Stock tune.

I don't baby it much either... I do have a lot of two lane roads that I drive on as I live fairly rural area. But there is still a good amount of in town driving as well.

It could be I have a fluke car or just ideal roads or super driving abilities.. LOL .... but I'm just saying...

(ho and common spring!!! )

Thanks for info

What is the war paint delete? I am looking at the Classic that has the black RT stripes down the side. It is the blue with the black that looks pretty good. My concern is the black stipes will turn white and then if I take them off the paint will be discolored. Thoughts...bob
