Ordering Chally - Advice and Options?

I am almost ready to order my 09 Chally RT. Questions…

Can I demand/play hardball to get MSRP or will they just laugh at me?

Can I get the Carbon Fiber Faux decal on an RT? – There is no option for it on “Build Your Own” on the Dodge.com ordering system?

Can I order the Carbon Fiber Faux decal from Chrysler and have it dealer installed?

Thanks

Under no circumstances should you pay one cent over MSRP, stand your ground.

No.

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe someone on one of these forums did exactly that. Alternatively, ridergraphix.com has some kickass stuff, I bought a matte black hoodstripe for my R/T which is on order.

Goodluck!

If they will not sell you a car at what the msrp is why would you buy one from that dealer?

You are the one shelling out the cash!

Do the homework first and go fully prepared to ...

#1 order what you want

#2 know what it costs

#3 be prepared to order from another dealer.

It's not like a emotional thing ,like the car sitting in front of you,and 10 guys behind you.

You are picking what you want, from whats available of course!

Not a big fan of the c/f graphics.

Good luck and stand firm!

Order what you want and dont let them push you around, car dealers some how have lost touch with the notion "the customer is always right" these days. Go for the "Spring special" if you like the blue, it has the stripes on the hood and side and you can even try and haggel in the T/A style hood in the accessories catalog from Dodge. Any wich way you should get a hell of a car, congrats on it! Post some pics when you get it.

I ordered my '09 Challenger R/T for $500 over dealer invoice ($1700 UNDER MSRP).

The hood graphic is not available on the R/T. It is an SRT8 exclusive for ordering purposes. You can, however, go to the dealer parts dept. and order the decal separately from the car. When it comes in, you can have the dealer install it or go to any reputable body shop; they can also install it.

Don't accept terms you don't want; some dealers will make it sound like you'll never get an R/T if you don't pay the price they want to charge. That's bull.
Go to a dealer who will sell the car to you at MSRP or (preferably) under MSRP. Even at $500 over Dealer Invoice, my dealer made money on the car. The dealers get advertising allowances (still $700/car???), a volume bonus for each vehicle sold plus other kickbacks and incentives that most of us don't even know about. So, they may cry poor but they're getting paid.

Thank you everyone for all this advice. I can't wait to have my 69 Daytona and my 09 Challenger in my driveway and at shows.
