Further bullitens as events warrant.

Sorry guys, but I've got a stupid question to ask. What is this "suit case" thing I've been hearing about for the exhaust? What's it look like an where abouts is it?

Anyways, it sounds to weak for a V8 muscle car, in stock form. I am looking to give it a classy note, without spending hundreds of dollars on a cat-back, I am not looking to squeeze out every last HP from mandrel bent pipes, etc. I got underneath the vehicle, and it looks like it has the "suitcase" muffler the Charger guys always talk about. Has anybody tried anything with this, or does anybody have any recommendations. Like I said before, I came from the GM LS world, so I have little exerience in identifying whats good or not. I have never been a big proponent of Flowmaster, but do they sound decent in my application? Also, something else to consider is the MDS. I don't want it to sound silly when it kicks down to 4 cylinder mode.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Todd
I just ordered my zoomers, I had them on my charger and the sound when MDS Kicked in wasnt too bad, there was a little drone inside the car but they still sounded great outside.

A cheap option is to remove the suitcase and just run straight pipes, it isn't too loud as the resonators keep the noise down quite well. This was the first mod I did on teh Charger and I think it cost like 60 bucks. Just depends on what your local muffler shop wants to charge you.

Hope this helps.

R/T Exhaust

I just had my Zoomers exhaust installed on my RT today. I just have to say it was well worth the price. The Zoomers staff is great! I accidently put my foot down more than a few times on the way home.

Corsa

I talked with them for a good 45 minutes and I'm pretty convinced they have the perfect set up: No drone, deep rumble cruisin and nice bark at WOT. They engineer the exhaust for optimal sound performance and no cabin drone at all. Check out some You tube clips, search for corsa exhaust Challenger. This is the way I'm going. A bit more money than some but I tried to go the cheap route and the system sucked. I would say Zoomers or Corsa you cant lose. Corsa quality is top notch though!
