Talking Pics of my Black Challenger R/T

Two weeks ago today I got a black Challenger R/T. It's the auto-stick with the only option as Sirius, as we're going to be doing some project stuff with it. As soon as our local track opens we'll get some baseline 1/4 mile times, and we already got a 100% stock dyno # of 334rwhp/352rwtq! These new 5.7 engines are under-rated from the factory!

Here are some pics ...

I am loving my new ride!!

How many miles did you run her before you did the dyno? You had the car only a couple of weeks?

Nice ride bro. But is it me or does it look like the back tires should be wider? I noticed this on my friend's Mustang GT also. Can't wait to see what else you do with it.

BEAUTIFUL: Black was one of my other choices for color...along w/ DWB. It's beautiful. I just couldn't commit to washing the car 3x / week. And with black, I would have to. I'm in NW Indiana so, it's tough to keep a car clean here.

You dyno'd 334 rwhp???!!! with the automatic??? That should be 417 hp at the crank with 20% drivetrain loss???? What do you calc for drivetrain on an automatic?

Hey Buddy

Hey how's it going buddy? I noticed you also went with black, good choice. I was wondering why mystock RT did 317hp to wheels and 334lbs. torque and yours was like 20 something horsepower more? How does that differ so much? Could it be the dyno?

I've put some mods on the car including a Techco cold air kit, 85mm throttle body, Razor's Edge strut tower brace, Magnum 500 wheels from Mopar and some BT dress-up stuff. I'll post some pics, and we signed up as a sponsor here, so lots more to follow once our forum is set up, too!

Yes, bone stock!! We usually figure about 17% drivetrain loss, so that puts the engine hp right in line with the 390 Dodge rated this engine with for the trucks. I think they under-rated it in the Challenger so it wouldn't hurt the SRT sales. I am loving this car!

It might be the dyno as there is a difference between the types of dynos.

Yeah, they need to be much wider! I've put different wheels on it now (same size as stock), but am planning to get some wide rear wheels or have these widened for a beefer look from the back.
