Question dealer says manual r/t's not being built yet

Well, my wifey just put down a deposit on a dwb manual r/t through military overseas car sales for me cause i'm out of the country. Well, the guy says the car won't be here (germany) until January because the 5.7's haven't made their way down the assembly line yet. My wife threw the bs flag because she's seen you guys talk about your cars that you've taken delivery of. Well the dealer came back and said that the manuals either have just started, or will start soon. Is there any weight to that? Thinking about it, I've only really read reviews and opinions on here about the auto's. Is this guy dicking her around?

My DTM R/T 6speed just went C status and a woman I work with fiance's 6speed just went D1 (loaded - all but my GIG) and was told to expect it at the dealership last week of October. According to the Dodge Challenger Registry there's been a few 6speeds delivered. They're out there, just not in any numbers significant numbers yet.

I read online and had someone at Cassen's in Glen Carbon, Il. say that 6speed production was held up due to non-delivered components of the ESP system (the dash switch & a relay of some sort) for the manuals and that the parts problem was finally resolved. Seems a plausible explanation.... Either way, the car's are starting to get built, it's just a logistical problem of now not only building the ordered cars but also getting the cars built for just the dealer lot stock and balancing how to get the cars down the line in a timely fashion.

My R/T 6 speed is built and sitting in the holding pen waiting for a train ride to NW Indiana. It's been built for 2 weeks. Others on this site have received their 6 speed R/Ts. See the status in the box below "JS" = "shipped to storage".
The dealer in question sounds questionable to me......

I was advised that the delay was in drive train parts supplied by Getrag and used only in the SRTs and 6 speed R/Ts. That's why they produced the SEs first; they don't have 6 speeds and their 4 speed automatics don't use the higher strength drive train components.... But, whatever the parts issue was, it is resolved. Challengers of all trim levels and with all transmission types are coming off the line now.

The manuals are being built. So tell your sells person to order one for you, if that is your intention. You might not see the car until Feb/Mar. Being overseas and build time have a factor in this also.

I've seen other forums where people have taken delivery of the 6 speeds. And there are a handfull of 6 speeds listed on ebay.
