Well the car was ordered tonight. Auto Silver R/T J Package, Electronics Conv. Group, MyGig w/Nav., and sound group 2. MSRP - $35,500. I got it for $34,500 though I think I could have gotten a little less if I had started the negotiations better. Got $10,000 for my trade in that I owe $8900 and change for. So all in all, that's about $2100 difference from what they were giving me Saturday. Now the financing comes into play. They didn't seem too committed to the idea of 4.75% but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, I hope they honor what they told me on the phone. I might need to call Penfed again because I think I may have screwed up on the application and I need to see if they realize that I'll be trading my Mustang in, so the debt I have for that will be gone. I have a feeling they were counting that against me still because we make plenty of money to cover this, and don't have a ton of debt.

Well, lucky me. They were able to change an order already in process. They had one that was exactly the same as mine but was orange and had a sunroof. They just removed the sunroof and made it Silver. It's in D status.

Sorry, just not a fan of red...on any car really. Obviously it still looks good on the Challenger, but not as good as others. I remember when I bought my Mustang ad thinking how poor the red ones looked. Just doesn't show the lines well. Black was so very tempting, but I couldn't do it.

Just a joke, my friend.... I had alot of trouble selecting the color for my R/T before placing the order. Black was my first choice (too hard to keep clean) because it looks the best (when its clean). Looked at Deep Water Blue, but wanted the pearl base coat and the gold metalflake in the paint. So, I went with Inferno Red Crystal Pearl...looks great and easier to maintain than the Black. My last car -- '06 300-C -- was silver, and my wife's car is silver.... Just needed some color in my garage this time !!!!

I think I'm gonna have to add the stripes to the car. I kind of regret not doing it earlier as I'll probably have to have the dealership add them on and that'll probably cost me more. They were only a $200 option, anyone know what it'll cost a the dealership? I'm sure they charge the $200 + labor.

I'd consider going aftermarket stripes for a couple reasons:

1.) RiderGraphix.com 2009 Dodge Challenger Graphics Dodge Charger Graphics Ford Mustang Graphics Chevy Silverado Graphics Retro Custom Graphics Stripes Decals Boss Hockey Stick HEMI Just LOOK at all the options!

2.) When you order your car with stripes, you can expect an extra 1 - 2 weeks delay on your delivery because the car must be shipped to another plant to have the stripes installed.

I'm personally going with an aftermarket hood stripe for my R/T from ridergraphix and my dealer has agreed to install it for me free of charge.

I have to comment on ther 1-2 week manufacturing delay statement. My '09 R/T 6 speed has hood-to-fender stripes that were installed at the factory; my car was assembled in 2 days...start to finish...complete with stripes. The "upfit" or striping center is part of the Brampton facility. Unless there is a shortage of striping material, there is no delay in assembly or delivery for a vehicle that "earns its stripes" at the factory.

I agree with oilman, I had no issue at all through striping. Ithink mine also was a 2 day process, maybe less.
