Maybe I was mistaken, over on another forum I keep reading how the car has to go to another factory for the stripes. No first hand experience in the matter though.
Still, being able to choose from a huge variety of striping options is a big plus, unless you're set on the hood to fender stripes. |

Sorry, my mistake, found this quote from brampton builder on challengertalk:

The dealership told me they could add stripes there once it comes in for $200. This is for the big stripes from the front and up the hood, not the hood to fender stripes.

These are the hood to fender stripes that are an option, unless he can get the hood stripes from an outside source.

The $200 option is for RT only and is done in the final stages of process in the assembly plant. These are Hood to Fender with the R/T logo
The Hood stripe is standard on the SRT( carbon fiber look) with a $50 delete if you don't want them. This is done by the other firm who if you look up is in to all kinds of goodies Dealer can get for you but I would certainly look at the after market as they can give the same |

It's definitely for the larger stripes, the SRT ones. He originally told me it would be more but I got him to agree to $200.
They have disappointed me with the ordering though. I was trying to see about the light gray on the seats but they keep saying that option isn't available to them when they order, all it says is cloth or leather. I stopped by another dealership tonight and they happened to have one with the leather seats with the gray so I took a picture and I'll take it to them Monday and see if it's too late to add it. I didn't really care one way or the other, but after seeing them in person I want them. I'm also seriously questioning myself on not getting black. Silver will have to do though. I did get my vin # today. How to I find out the status? Does it have to be D1 or later to check online? I tried dodge's site and didn't get anywhere. |

You can register your car here- http://www.dodgechallengerregistry.com/index.php
You can check the status of your car using VinWin, which is at the top to the page. Only can do this if a Vin# has been issued. I believe since you have Vin # already, its to late to change your order. |

Well I called up Dodge today to ask about the inserts and he said they were probably looking for it in the seat options when it is in the additional options in the ordering process which comes before the seat optioins when ordering. And he said it depends on where the car is in the build stage on if it can be changed. If it hasn't reached the interior yet then it can probably be changed.
So now I gotta call the dealership in the morning and have them look at their system again. It's frustrating knowing more about this stuff than the dealership. |

Ok, I was able to talk to them again today and they were able to make the change so now I have the light gray insert on the seats. I also changed the car's color. It will now be black instead of silver. Did some riding around to dealerships to take a longer look at the silver and compare it to the black and I just had to go with the black.
Still working on the financing since penfed wouldn't go above $29,300. I have approval at another bank but it's at 6.8% quite a difference. I'm trying some other credit unions and such and will have to work some #'s if I can't figure something out that's any better. |

Ok, checked more credit unions, and found out what reporting agency one of them uses and how their rates work depending on your score range. Got a copy of my report with my score from that agency (score: 752) and I'm in their top tier for rates. Looks like I should be able to get around 5.5% with them. Still curious to see if the dealership will match that 4.75% they said they would.
Still can't understand for the life of me why Penfed won't go above $29,300. So my car is in C status (not sure what happened to it being in D, unless me changing it pushed it back). Got the VIN and all that, just in a waiting game now, trying to find the best rate. Wish I had fought harder on the price of the car too, Probably could have gotten $750-1000 more off I think. |

Had a funny thing happen today. I stopped by carbone Dodge (I'd never buy a car from them,) to see if the had any brochures, they didn't. Now here's the funny part. I asked when the B5 color option would be out, their crackerjack salesman got this blank look on his face like huh? Another one walked over an said he thought it would be out in late spring. When I asked about the R/T Classic option that's suppose to be coming out, I got two blank looks and a where am I getting this information.
