6.4 L in 2010 ???
Quote:
That article was from the August 2008 issue of MOPAR ACTION magazine. Unfortunatlely, that was published just before the @#%* hit the fan in the mortgage crisis, the financial markets and Detroit's Big 3. With the 35%-40% reduction in vehicle sales across the board, lower amounts of cash available for auto loans, high unemployment and the future of the Big Three in doubt, I wouldn't hold my breath......Not trying to burst our collective bubble about the 6.4--I'd love to see it on the streets and strips--but realistically I can't see Chrysler funneling money into the development and manufacturing of a low volume high output motor. Survival is going to depend on whether or not the auto manufacturers can get back to profitability. That means high volume lower cost cars and trucks.....oh no....not the late 70s and 80s again......If you want a Challenger in any trim, I would buy it now.

New to the forum, so greetings to all, mine is still on order. But, The 09 has the Tremec 6060, which is the Viper transmission, already if I am not mistaken. Same one that backs the Shelby Mustangs. And I echo paul, buy one now if you want one. Our second heyday may be already in its twilight. If that 6.1 isnt fast enough, just talk to Hennessy. I heard they make cars real fast. I have dealt with a small dealership in Iowa, and he will sell you whatever slightly below MSRP-he doesnt collect cars-he sells them.

Or wait till the dominos really start falling and all the baby boomers who bought them and couldn't afford them to begin with start unloading them with virtually no miles on them for really cheap
