Offset and inner clearance...
Hey guys,
I have a Challenger SE and I'm looking to change the rims. I want to be able to use the stock tires so I'm looking at rims that are 17 x 7.5. A lot of the rims have an offset of as much as 45mm, which, when using the offset calculator on 1010tires.com means there is 33mm less inner clearance (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing). Is this a problem? Is it going to rub anywere? Does anyone know the amount of clearance and exactly how much is needed? Thanks. |
