09 Chally Procharged

Well here is the #s I ran last night. I am stock except thermostat, Procharger, and bigger water neck. I was on 20" clads and 20 psi in tires. I kept it in autostick and I just powerbraked it. traction control OFF. Please any comments would help. I made 10 passes but all pretty close.

R/T .354
60' 2.005
330' 5.53
1/8 8.43
MPH 84.11
1000 10.95
1/4 13.045
MPH 108.73

funny thing is even with a R/T of .040 and 60' of 2.064 I ran a 13.299 so I'm confused. Now I used traction control ON for a R/T of .098 60' of 2.109 and 13.057. So should I keep traction control on or off?

BTF Procharger has 3 tunes in my Diablo. One for 14 deg timing and one for 16 deg timing and one with just a file name (assuming no retard) Last night I kept it on 14 deg (Procharger default one) and used 91 fuel (out of 104) So any suggestions?

Donald

The fastest time I did with my R/T was 13.2 @ 105. '60 at 2.01. The mods I did were:

180 T-Stat
DCX Custom Tune
MBRP exhaust
Eibach Springs & Shocks

If your Challenger has the 306 gear in it, swap that out for the 373 LSD and you'll pick up a 1/2 second in the quarter mile. My best was 13.1 with my average time in the 13.2 to 13.4 range. Since I put in the 373, I'm running consistant 12.7s. My car is an auto trans and I just drop it in first and let it shift on it's own. That gear will be the best mod you can add. Call these guys for great prices and service. 1-866-402-4480

PS...always run with the traction control off. If you over rev in the burnout, with the traction control on, your car will die and go into limp mode. This happened to me and I had to be pushed off the track. After about 20 minutes, the car recovered and I was racing again.

First those are good times IMHO onefastchally. Congratulations. Not doubt the 373's would be nice. First I'd say look at some sticky rubber and get your 60' time down.

Have you done data logging at the track, I'm wondering if you may be running a bit lean and getting knock retard issue because of it? I realize your effective compression would be in the high 14xx:1 range at 6 psi, but 16* Seems high to me... add some excessive knock and I can see you missing out on some of that S/C boost... ;-)

I realize I have nothing to back that up here, hence my wondering about logging...

In my opinion if you can control the spin leave ESP off. It reduces torque reduction to achieve traction and that works against you to a degree. If your not getting grip then it's a triad off. If it were me I'd pay with the rubber a bit and see where I wanted to go from there...

Have fun!!!!

Get a set of Nitto Drag Radials. I have them on mine and they work great. I run mine at 25 psi with no problems and it keeps that annoying low psi light from coming on. All the HP in the world is useless without traction.

I'm thinking about investing in drag radials as well. I'm looking for advice on tire/wheel size. I've been told to go with 17" in order to increas the effective rear-end gear ratio. What size Nittos do you have and what type of wheels do you have? (I'm concerned that if I go with 17" wheels, they won't clear the Brembos.) Thanks for any advice.

You can go with 17"s but usually you would do this to be able to get a taller side wall to aid grip on launch.. so the over all 'size' of the wheel would be about the same... you'd gain a bit..

Thanks. So what brand/size tires and wheels do you have?

You can get Nittos to fit your stock rims.
