A blown 3.5 couldn't run either with a stock 5.7 or a 6.1 unless the 3.5 was overhauled and the boost was extremely high. I doubt that the V-6 could generate 150 addl. hp with a Procharger. Typically you can get a 30%-35% increase in gross hp with safe levels of boost and some basic engine mods and programming. I was quoted an increase of horsepower (at the crank) of 140 on a 375 hp 5.7 manual at 5.5 lbs. of boost. I'm guessing that, with a safe level of boost, the SE might gain 80-90 hp at the crank max...for a total of 330-340 hp. Horsepower isn't cheap. High gains in hp from a supercharger require higher levels of boost which require expensive internal engine mods. If you don't make those mods, you lose the motor.... But, an addl. 80 - 90 hp is worth it on the SE; you can then run competitively with the Mustang V-6 and the upcoming Camaro V-6; that would surprise the heck out of the Camaros !!!!

well, i wasn't talking just a blower....i meant doing other work the motor as well. a supercharged V6 chally would give a 'stang GT a good run as well...anything's possible.....
