Simple bolt-on mods include: Cold Air Intake, intake spacer, cat-back exhaust, EMS programmer / chip. I'm not sure what the advertised rwhp gains are for the 3.5 But those are the simplest and least expensive do-it-yourself mods that yield significant rwhp gains. For example, the K&N CAI that I installed on my '06 300C 5.7 resulted in a gain of 21 rwhp. Anyone else know what the rwhp gains are on the 3.5?

I didn't dyno the 300C before or after the K&N CAI. I can tell you that it made a noticeable difference in performance. In neutral, the engine would hit its rev limiter twice as fast as pre-CAI. When driving, it was quiet until I hit the gas hard; then "whoosh" and it took off fast. I also increased my around-town mileage from 12.5 mpg to 14.5--15.0 mpg; that was huge over the 39 months I had the car .....Gotta love it....a 7%+ increase in rwhp and 16%+ increase in fuel economy. That's a great combination for a $300 part. Even if K&N's dyno results are not 100% accurate (I have no reason to doubt them), I would still buy a CAI again for the obvious benefits.

Intake spacer is a worthless mod, doesn't do anything to add to performance. A CAI is good, helps the engine breath better. Also a better exhaust system will help also. Might look into a performance chip also.

My son installed an intake spacer on his F-150 after he installed a CAI. He claimed that it made a difference in his truck; I'm not so sure myself..... The CAI and exhaust helped alot. So did the programmer. I hear you; I'm skeptical about the spacer too, but he claims it's great.?!...??

Which compares favorably to you, the ProCharger or Vortech V-3 for the '09 Challenger R/T ????? I would appreciate your opinion.

I've honestly heard both brands are very good. I've heard that the customer service at Procharger is much better than Vortech. I'm just being honest here.
