PS. As KidCharger correctly noted, this contest is only open to US Citizens. This isn't intended as a snub toward our international friends. The gas cards do not apply outside the US and there is significantly more red tape interms of dealing with the IRS when awarding a prize of this size to a foreign citizen. Sadly the contest is NOT by random draw. The contest fine print reads: "Not a game of chance: DevMarketing, Inc. will judge and select the winning essay."…ya right! Winner will be based on what criteria??? Be careful fellow members!!! It has been my experience in such contests that the “winner” is often a friend or associate of the host company.

Secondly, only 4% of the Gross is donated to Make a Wish!!!…you do the math…$ 200,000 collected, only $ 8,000 to Make a Wish, say $ 50,000 for the Chally, equals $ 142,000 in the host companies pocket…less the minimal advertising costs, free advertising on this site, and likely a “friend” of Dev Marketing walking away with the Chally.

Sounds like a plan, so my Porsche Cayman S will also be for sale for charity. $ 100 a ticket, only 2000 tickets, and I’ll give 4% to the charity of the winners choice. Maybe with the $ 192K I pocket I’ll buy (2) new Chally SRT’s and another Cayman S!!!!

This contest is a business enterprise. We are running the WinaDodgeChallenger.com Contest to make a reasonable profit. Far less than what you might think.

We have expenses that must be covered with regard to buying the Challenger, marketing the contest, providing the gas rebate cards, judging the essays, and covering our overhead, not to mention recouping the up front costs involved in designing the website, designing the contest, and paying attorneys fees. airharv, putting things in that perspective really saved me time and money. I was about to do it too, but realized the profit they're trying to take off this "charitable contest." Let's not forget that charitable contributions are tax write-offs.
